one year ago today...

Here we are one year ago today on our first date. We made Wallyball champion shirts and went and played with some friends.

We also started cooking a year ago as well this week. Here we are making homemade pizza. Who knew we'd be here planning a wedding now. It's a miracle that we continue to tolerate each other- mostly that Luke can tolerate me. Love you babe.
(notice that Luke is wearing the same shirt)

sunny arizona

My Grandpa Allen threw a "couples shower" for me and Luke in Arizona, where most of my extended family is. I could go on and on about all of the work he put into it. It was really special and so much fun for us to be there. I loved that Luke got to know more of my family.
Here we are with Grandpa Allen

cake class

So, I took 4 cake decorating classes through Wilton at Hobby Lobby. FUN and I recommend it if you're into that sort of thing... not that I am good now by any means, but I have improved on my decorating skills. I had the most fun learning how to make clowns and roses.

allred

Luke took me to see John Allred. He is one of my favorite artists. He is from the Salt Lake area, so talented, and writes all of his own songs. Let's face it, I love him. If you want to listen to him, you can go here
One of the opening bands was just absolutely horrible. It was that teenage screaming garage band type...who even likes that anymore? Here is how we felt during their performance...

engagement photos

I made Luke dress up and try on our engagement photo outfits so that we could take pictures and make sure we still looked good together. I know I am mean and horrible. I even cut out his head on accident. Here is us on that glorious night trying on our outfits.

but hey...we sure look good! Jessica did a great job.

it won't be the same without them

these videos sum it up. we may remind you of teenage girls, but in fact we are in college and I actually have already graduated. dancing around the room, singing into your hairbrush, and making up new moves will just never get old. this is what roommates do.
