Shealynn had a birthday and Sarah and I made some cute cupcakes. We used pull-n-peel twizzlers and strawberry whoppers.

I have been on a baking (what's the word?) frenzy??? Now that we have a full kitchen and it's just the 2 of us, I feel like I can do anything while I'm in there. Well, sort of. Probably twice a week I find that I have a craving to bake. I'm looking past those few extra pounds I've gained from it. My latest and greatest is banana bread. mmm. I've made 5 loaves this month-it was just so good that we kept it all to ourselves...

After our return from our honeymoon, we did take a trip to lovely pennsylvania with Luke's parents.
These are the flowers that were used as centerpieces at our reception...so pretty! My favorite were the peonies.

Luke and I went with his parents to tour Philadelphia a little bit and to do some shopping :)

Dad and Uncle Roger did some grilling. "YUM" is the word I'm looking for.

I got to take Luke to Peace Valley Park, which is one of my most favorite places in the entire world.

1 month

So, we have officially been married for one month today. Life is good. Don't worry, I won't blog about each month of marriage, but I guess when you've been married for less than a year, all you have to count are months. In my one month of being married to Luke, I have learned a few things...

He has SO many different accents, most of which, I never knew existed until we got married. Oh my, there were about 2 days where one accent just never left, even when he tried to stop. It was funny, yet I am glad he is now back to his normal, Utah boy lingo.
Luke makes the bed every day and helps with the dishes.
He has already named our first male and female children: Tito (with Tuff as a close second) and Tita.
Although he lovingly rolled his eyes when I told him DK was moving in with us, he really does care about my little red beta fish. I put DK next to the kitchen window when we moved in, and Luke said, "Won't he be too cold there?"

He makes life fun.

We honeymooned down in Las Vegas for a week. We stayed at one of the Hilton's; the place was so nice and was even equipped with a washer and dryer for our convenience. They also had the friendliest staff I have ever come across. It was great! Here are some of the highlights from our trip:
We ate at some delicious places like Pampas, Benihanas, and Capriotti's.

Benihanas let me keep the Buddha mug!

We saw some pretty famous people like the Mario Brothers, Spiderman, Kiss, and the Blueman Group.

We went repelling at Red Rock Canyon.

We went to the M&M Factory.

We saw The Lion King!

We watched the Bellagio fountain show.

We went to the Bellagio gardens. (notice that I have 2 drinks in my hand...they are both mine. It was so hot walking on the strip!)

This was a hit. We got to see some pretty cool dancers on Freemont Street. They were cracking me up! I couldn't stop watching the guy in the gray shirt. He was just feelin' it.

This may seem as though Luke is trying to take a picture of the people on the gondola ride, but he is not. This is the part in the trip when I got sick- I mean, really sick. So here I am, feeling like a million bucks, feeling like I'm going to throw up.

I'm not really sure what's wrong with me, but I still allowed myself to eat ice cream later that night. No self control here.

Needless to say, we had a great time!

we tied the knot

Yes, we did. May 14th was the day; we were married in the LDS Bountiful Temple. Everything was perfect and we couldn't be happier!
