merry christmas 2010

The holidays this year included a little bit of this and a little bit of that...

On our way to AZ for the holidays we stopped midway in VEGAS for some family fun. The car ride was quite entertaining with both of my brothers along for the ride. We listened to them practicing Who's On First until Luke and I both had it memorized as well. But my favorite part of the ride includes singer Enrique Iglesias. We listened to Do You Know SEVERAL times and it never got old. The song always reminds me of Rob and Big. The experience we had was quite similar to theirs. Although we did have B and G doing some harmony here and there with it from the backseat.

Merry Christmas! It is so nice to spend the holidays surrounded by family.

harry potter

In High School I read the first 3 books of Harry Potter, loved them, but stopped reading for whatever reasons.
Since then, I have not had the desire to read the rest of the books or see the Harry Potter movies.
Two of our friends from Logan invited us to the 10 p.m. showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
First of all, I was not caught up on what was going on in the story and Luke knew even less than I did.
Secondly, we all know that 10 p.m. is actually when I go to bed.
But, what the heck-we wanted to see 2 of our friends; so, we went.

Well, needless to say, after the movie all I wanted to do was read Harry Potter- all 7 books! You could have found me in the Juvenile- Fiction section in the 2 libraries near my house a few days after I saw that movie. I finally had to reserve the book online because everything was checked out. But, my wish came true and I finally picked up book #1 on a Saturday morning and had it finished by Sunday night. I know- NERD. I read Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets next, and now book #3 is reserved for me and I am waiting for my email confirmation that says I can pick it up (I may have checked my email 3 times today to see if it was ready). I have put all Jodi Picoult books on hold, which I have been reading one after the other for the past year.

oh, work

I love my job. I love the people I work with. This Monday morning was a good one; we had our nails done and went to lunch. Life is good.
